Lansing Chapter Meeting Policies

As with every organization that has a meal, we need to confirm reservations to those preparing the meal in advance, we need to pay for meals prepared and not eaten, and we need to assure those who make reservations that there will be a meal ready for them. If you have dietary restrictions and would like to request a specific meal, please let us know when you make your reservation and separate meal will be prepared that meets your needs.

Reservation deadlines:

Reservations are due by 6:00 pm on the Friday before the meeting. Reservations can be made by email at Paying through Paypal will be counted as an RSVP, no additional email is necessary.
RVPS's received through the Facebook Event page are NOT counted as an official reservation.

If you must cancel your reservation, please do so no later than 24 hours before the meeting.
Our program will begin at noon. Please feel free to arrive at 11:45.

Payment: Payment is due at the luncheon but can be made in advance via the PayPal option on the NACW Lansing chapter page. We accept cash, checks (either personal or business), MasterCard, Visa and Discover (sorry, no American Express).

Confirmation of reservations:

All reservations will be confirmed as soon as possible via email. If you have not received a confirmation of your reservation by the Monday before the meeting, please contact us at to confirm your attendance.

If you fail to attend a meeting after making a reservation, NACW will send an invoice for the cost of the missed luncheon. If you are unable to pay for your luncheon when you arrive, NACW will send an invoice for the cost of the luncheon plus a $5 charge. A bounced check fee of $15 will be collected if we receive a check from you that bounces.

We encourage you, as a member or as a guest, to invite others to attend. If you are making a reservation for someone else (a colleague, friend, etc.) please be sure to leave their name, telephone number and business represented so a name badge can be made. If you make a reservation for a guest and your guest is unable to attend the meeting at the last minute, NACW will invoice you for the cost of the guest luncheon.

Recurring guests:

All guests are invited to attend up to three NACW meetings before considering membership. We will keep all guest names on our email list until we are notified to remove the name from our list.

Membership dues:

Member dues cover chapter operations as well as costs that apply from our national board. The initial membership cost is $150 and renewals are $100. All memberships renew in September of each year. Members will receive an invoice in August of each year for next year's membership. If you have been a guest and would like to apply for membership, please contact to request an application.

If you have made a reservation and are unable to attend, you may choose to send someone in your place. Please notify us at so that we can note the change on our roster. Be sure to make arrangements with your guest for the cost of the lunch (we will charge the member price to your guest).

We enjoy your company and hope you have a good time with us!
