Speaker bio: Dr. Herrst graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 2007 and has a BA in English and Biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She owned and ran a large practice in downtown Portland, OR from 2008 to 2019. She is a certified Webster Technique practitioner and is trained in Graston Technique, Holistic Pelvic Care™ pelvic floor rehabilitation and techniques from the Institute for Birth Healing. She is a past board member of the Oregon Chiropractic Association, and is also a current member of the Grand Ledge Area Kiwanis, Michigan Association of Chiropractors and the Weston A Price Foundation.
Dr. Herrst has a special passion for working with women and their families to help them achieve optimal health. While providing primary care chiropractic services to all patients, she does have a specialty in women’s health, including prenatal care, post-partum recovery and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Dr. Herrst also has specialized training in lactation, diastasis recti treatment, nutrition, whole food supplementation and stress-relief techniques . Dr. Herrst also has a background in sports medicine, having served as a staff clinician at Oregon Ballet Theater for many seasons.
Dr. Herrst is originally from Charlotte, MI. She and her family lived in the Pacific Northwest for many years after her graduation from chiropractic school and have recently relocated to mid-Michigan to be closer to family. She is a certified Michigan State University Extension Master Gardner, loves Seattle Mariners baseball and University of Michigan football and reads several great books a week. She also owns and runs Ziele Botanicals, a custom blend herbal tea and plant medicine apothecary. Dr. Herrst has been married to her husband Ryan, a nurse, for over eighteen years and she is a proud mom to two happy kiddos. She enjoys being active in the great outdoors with her family, where you can find them on local trails and playgrounds.
