Be Career Fearless: Challenging Women to Beat their Career Fears

There are countless things that career women rationally have come to fear over time, but no woman’s career fears are the same as the next. Through honest conversation and real life examples, I’ll expose 3 of my biggest career fears and chat about why I was able to overcome them, while challenging the audience to do the same.

Speaker Bio:

A Haslett, Michigan native, Kristin Ray is a self diagnosed, chronic life-multitasker. She is a first time children’s author, with her work, FEARLESS. Kristin's inspiration for creating FEARLESS was to teach her daughter to live life without being overcome by the fears we feel every day. She is dedicated to intentionally equipping her daughter with what this world might throw at her and how to mitigate those experiences. The book debuted as the #1 Children's Short Story New Release on Amazon in its first week on the site.

Kristin’s background in women’s work began in her role as Sports Columnist for Capital Area Women’s lifestyle Magazine, offering a female’s perspective on a topic where it’s rarely heard. She continued to support women at work as a founding member of Michigan Women in Lodging, a professional development organization for women in the hospitality industry. She brought that experience to her time in the collegiate athletic world, by creating Females in Athletic Business, the first of its kind in Michigan, growing it to 300 members in the first 3 months. During her time with FAB she hosted and produced the FAB podcast, bringing the voices of women leaders in the sports industry to those growing their careers.
