Spotlight Speaker: Tracy Willard, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Hunter Hospitality House

Tracy Willard is the co-founder and Executive Director of Hunter Hospitality House, a nonprofit providing free lodging for individuals and families facing medical crises in Port Huron. She and her husband, Jeff, founded the organization in memory of their son, Hunter, and have since expanded it to three homes serving thousands of guests during difficult times.

A Port Huron native, Tracy attended SC4 and Wayne State University. Before stepping into full-time nonprofit leadership, she was a stay-at-home mom, freelance writer, and later the Office Manager at Bridge Builders Counseling and Mentoring—an experience that helped shape her approach to nonprofit work.

Tracy has served on numerous local boards, including the Visiting Nurse Association and Blue Water Hospice, Port Huron Town Hall, and the Thomas Edison Elementary PTA. She also founded Woman’s Life Chapter #807. Her leadership has been recognized with honors such as the Blue Water Woman Nonprofit Executive Director of the Year (2013) and the Thomas D. Melms Chief Professional Officer Award from the United Way of St. Clair County (2017).

Passionate about community, compassion, and connection, Tracy continues to guide Hunter Hospitality House with gratitude for the supporters, volunteers, and staff who make its mission possible.
