Community involvement throughout Kristy's life has led her to the place she is today, both personally and professionally. Community involvement shouldn't be an obligation or a job, but rather a way of life.

Speaker Bio: Kristy Jones is a third generation Port Huron/St. Clair County resident and currently resides in Fort Gratiot. SHe has been married 32 years to her husband, Doug Jones, who is the Chief Probation Officer with the 72nd District Court. They have one son, Owen, who is 26 years oldm and a graduate of MSU Law School, now employed at Kelly Law Firm in Port Huron. 

 

Kristy is currently the Director of Business and Community Development at the Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County. 

 

She earned her Associate Degree of Liberal Arts at St. Clair County Community College and her Bachelor of Social Work Degree Coursework at Western Michigan University. She is also a Licensed Real Estate Agent and a Certified Zoning Administrator.

 

Kristy serves on several boards and committees such as St. Clair County Commission on Aging and the LHMC Governance Board. She is also a Member of LHMC Foundation, Port Huron Rotary, United Way of St. Clair County Campaign, Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce, Blue Water Little Black Dress Event, Michigan Chapter of American Planning Association, and the Michigan Economic Development Association.
