Speaker Bio: Keshia-Ann Evans is a Port Huron native who currently works at The City of Port Huron as the Building Inspection Assistant. She recently stepped down from the PH NAACP where she served for five years as secretary, ending as 1st VP. She serves as a co-advisor for the youth advisory board for the St Clair County Community Foundation, recently joined the board of directors for Enter Stage Right, and is the team lead of the elementary team at her church.
Keshia has an associate degree in business administration with a concentration in HR management, and is attending Central Michigan University, where she is pursuing her bachelor's degree in public and nonprofit administration.

Her first job was as a waitress for Coney Island Downtown. She then entered retail at The Buckle and Sears before starting in customs brokerage. She spent approximatley 10 years working with federal registers, government agencies, tariffs and imports. She was a lead agent at Expeditors and received her Certified Custom Specialist certification at Buckland.

She has found a love for theater which has helped her find her voice over the past couple years. She loves being on the computer, learning new things, games, escape games, puzzles, sewing and is now trying out gardening.

Katie earned her master's degree in interior design alongside an associate's degree in business. She has used both in the past 6 years throughout her experience working in architecture, custom home design, project management, kitchen/bath design, business, and sales.


Katie's passion for all things design is evident when working with her clients and coworkers. Her goal is to help each client create a functional, cohesive, and beautiful space that they can enjoy for years to come. When she is not designing, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Jon and dog, Rue, as well as her friends and family. She loves crafting, cooking, shopping, and believe it or not - gardening!
